If your on pc make sure to use ASIO over direct 12 and then use focusrite usb asio (if you have a focusrite interface)

I cannot figure out why my reastream-standalone does not show up in my OBS/Audio Filters/VST 2.x Plug-in. Every prior step has worked, I have the restream selected in Ableton, all the files are there. But when in OBS I can find the VST plug in but nothing appears to select. Any suggestions?

Hey man, big thanks for this gem so far! I've followed every step from the beginning of your last video. I armed my mic input channel in my DAW with ReaStream on it, and the input is running through the plugin all the way to OBS, where I did everything the same. The input is running through without any problems. However, at the very last step, after I select the audio cable plugin on Discord, the input stops running through. So, it's really just at the end that it struggles, and I honestly don't know why.. Discord even says that there's no mic connected at all.

So I followed this to a tee but when I try to get on a zoom call with my friend, the sound is distorted and unclear on his end. I'm kind of at a loss with this, open to any suggestions please!

im still confused as to how you're able to hear people in discord. like they are be able to hear you, but how will you hear them? will i need another virtual cable routed from discord straight to my headphones?

FINALLY!!! An Ableton tutorial that actually SHOWS you how to fix a problem instead of listening to some hack who is more interested in hearing themselves ramble on forever without EVER getting to the point.

not helpful at all for some reason, wasted 20 minutes of my time to somehow get the problem solved on my own by just fidgeting around.

I have the volt 176, it's an amazing piece of hardware no doubt about it but the lack of a monitor mixing option is a killer for me the preset mix that it comes with is still too low for my liking and I feel for 200 dollars that should be a standard feature

Few qu's : 1) does a lower sample size reduce quality in anyway? 2) my default SR and pitch C option was set to normal, rather than high quality - would that make a difference? 3) would you advise freezing tracks before recording anything live and then unfreezing upon export? 4) Which of the above do you think works better for midi vs recording audio live? I'm recording guitar, vox and midi, have noticed latency of all of the output recordings, but I can't go below a 750 sample rate without getting distortion

Does it work with PS4 or PS5? Edit: Whoa, $200?! Budget?! 😂🤣 Whoever makes that thing should consider a class that better illustrates their quality. With “budget” attached all I see is a piece of overpriced gear with an on/off switch.

This didnt work for me =(. i am trying to route audio from ableton to discord while having my focusrite play the audio and take input from my mic. the only way i have had the audio come through the stream in discord is to switch ableton to the orginal driver mme/directx. but then the audio comes through my speakers instead of my headphones. that gives me latency then i cant play along to the song while sharing it in disocrd.... perhaps im doing something wrong. ill keep trying it.

Thank you for this. I use Studio Pro, and I've never been able to capture it into OBS. I've tried downloading dozens of different software, virtual cables, etc. Maybe I'm just too stupid to do it correctly! But ReaStream is extremely simple and straightforward to set up and it works! Hey I have been trying this on my own for quite some time but the audio coming into discord is terrible / nonexistent. Almost as if its filtered off coming through a telephone speaker. It works perfectly with OBS but with discord it just doesn't work properly is there any way to fix this

Do I need to manually start OBS each time I would want to chat with friendsat Discord? Can I somehow avoid that somewhat annoying need to do manual clicks each time? How is that possible to make OBS always run on background, so that I don't have TO BE ALWAYS NEEDING to manually launch it first in order for my mic to work?
